As part of our team, you will work with innovative technology, receive continuous training, and support, and contribute to a culture that values teamwork, growth, and personal development. - Job Summary As a Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, working under the supervision of the Engineering Manager you will contribute to the design, implementation, and management of systems and networks. This position may require extended work hours at night and weekends to accommodate business needs. This also requires participation in Engineering on call rotation for after hours. - Responsibilities Assist in installation, configurations, and maintenance of server operation systems (Windows Server, Linux) Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively. Support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNS. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of networking protocols and services. Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues. Assist in the development and maintenance of hardware and software assets. Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software troubleshooting. Install and update software applications, ensuring security and compliance. Follow security best practices to safeguard systems and data. Assist in implementing and monitoring security measures, including firewalls and antivirus solutions. Ensure Compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Implement and manage data backup solutions. Develop and test disaster relief recovery issues. Provide technical support to end–users, addressing hardware and software issues. Respond to helpdesk tickets that escalate or schedule and resolve incidents in a timely manner. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference. Work collaboratively with cross –functional teams and departments Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Participate in meetings and contribute to the decision-making process Requirements Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Dependable transportation. Physically able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to pass Heiden’s engineering test. - Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in information technology, computer science or related field. CompTIA Network+ or industry equivalent (Other advanced certifications (E.g., CySa+, ASEP, CSEP) are an advantage).
