JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support dataset collection operations in Redmond, WA. The role involves ensuring system stability, optimizing operational flow, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues to deliver high-quality datasets. The engineer will collaborate with research and engineering teams, prepare collection environments, and provide system-level support to maintain production efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–4 years of experience resolving HW/SW production issues in the field.
  • Experience with command line interfaces, network systems, server systems, and control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability for ambiguous issues.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and signal analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of cameras and lenses.
  • Experience with motion capture, multi-camera systems, time synchronization, or robotics is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in production environments.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Troubleshooting ambiguous system issues
  • Root cause analysis and resolution
  • System-level change execution
  • Oscilloscope usage (power/trigger signal analysis)
  • Parsing system & software logs
  • Knowledge of cameras & lenses

  • Conduct component power and signal analysis using tools like oscilloscopes.
  • Parse system and software logs to identify root causes.
