MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in IT, CS, Mathematics, or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years technical experience in service desk support, system administration, or networking
  • Experience administering users in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
  • Experience troubleshooting a variety of technical platforms including PC’s, mobile devices, and telecommunication equipment
  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems, servers, and office applications
  • Knowledge of information security best practices and standards
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to diverse audiences with varying technical knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests
  • Knowledge of networking technologies including AD, server and PC security, backup and recovery, and basic switching and routing

Responsibilities
  • Provide all technical support for: PCs, printers, phones, networks, hardware, software, and maintenance including, but not limited to, installations, configurations, software, security patches and updates
  • Provide remote support for work at home users and troubleshoots remote access issues
  • Respond to users’ technical problems when reported to the ServiceDesk, troubleshoots issues and tracks resolution for departmental reporting
  • Ensure backups are completed daily; research and resolve any backup issues; maintain tape storage library; and perform restoration tests at prescribed intervals
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Support departmental projects including new system implementations and configuration set up
  • Provide support for new employee onboarding, provides requested equipment, and update asset management systems to record technical hardware and software assets assigned to staff
  • Report on and help procure end user technical assets needed to perform their job functions
  • Assist with maintaining an adequate cyber security posture for the division and the agency
