Description

Description The System Engineer I provides support for the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of systems, servers, and related technologies. This is an entry-level engineering role that assists with system implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance under the guidance of senior engineers. This role will also provide limited desktop support. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience. Experience: 0–3 years of experience in systems engineering, IT administration, technical support, or desktop support preferred. Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server/desktop environments. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN). Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) desirable. Understanding of information security principles. Basic desktop support knowledge including off-the-shelf OSes and applications Office365 experience preferred Basic AD support (user creation, passwords, login issues, etc.) Skills: Scripting, Troubleshooting, VMware, Windows OSes, Linux OSes, Various Monitoring solutions, Network, SAN, Off the Shelf software, Active Directory, AWS/Azure
