As a Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of flight management systems for commercial and defense aircraft. You will work within a cross-functional team on cutting-edge projects that shape the future of aviation. Your expertise in systems engineering and your passion for innovation will contribute to the success of our products and the safety of our customers.
You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Program Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the aviation industry by designing and implementing flight management systems that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to develop and test system requirements, perform system integration, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop flight management system requirements
• Design and implement flight management system architectures and interfaces
• Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Support the certification process for flight management systems
