General Description:
As a Systems Engineer at INdigital you will assist with the testing, integration, implementation and support of our core 911 software. We’re looking to expand our team with an individual who strives for process improvement and teamwork.
The candidate will be expected to work in a highly-collaborative team environment. Cross-functional team work will be necessary as well. Effective communication skills will be critical to succeed in this role.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Proficient in shell scripting
• Programming experience
• Comfortable in Linux environments
• Experience with virtual environments
• Experience with container environments i.e Docker

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ACTIVITIES:

• QA and Testing of critical production software.
• Create new testing scenarios to improve software quality.
• Write supporting software to test, monitor, and manage critical software elements.
• Work with Development Team to define software needs, features, report bugs, etc.
• Work with Operations Team to implement automated software installs, production deployments, and infrastructure needs.
• Create System and Procedure documentation
• Manage software under Linux environments.
• Perform production deployments and upgrades.
• Out-of-hours work will be required.
• Interface with business partners on product testing and development.
