Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
ITS, LLC is seeking multiple Systems Engineers. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.The Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining complex technological solutions. Their responsibilities include: Guiding the creation, installation, and support of computing systems by assessing organizational needs and designing functional applications, databases, and networks to meet those requirements. They determine the necessary hardware to support an organization’s software and computing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and integrating complex work systems for every stage of a lifecycle. This involves implementing strategies, evaluating products, and building upon infrastructure that supports evolving customer needs. The engineer:
- Converts product requirements into comprehensive system solutions
- Considers technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Performs functional and timeline analyses
- Conducts detailed trade studies
- Allocates requirements and defines interfaces
- Translates customer requirements into hardware and software engineering specifications
- Provides detailed information for solution selection and implementation techniques
- Ensures solutions meet present and future capacity requirements
- Sustains ground-based radars critical for strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions
- Supports national security and no-fail mission systems
- Reliably delivers mission-critical infrastructure with a focus on accessibility, optimization, and security. This includes:
- Managing large-scale Agile or Sec DevOps teams and projects
- Supporting cost estimating, baseline and risk management
- Developing schedules and monitoring performance
- Reporting project status, activities, and achievements to upper management
- Leads waterfall-to-agile transformations
- Focuses on delivering Minimum Viable Products in a consistent cadence
- Works with various system types, including custom-developed hardware/software, COTS/GOTS hardware/software, and specialty engineering of exotic materials
- Manages configuration and data for classified systems
- Conducts hardware and software test & evaluation
- Implements and sustains distributed systems
- Works with virtual operating system environments
- Utilizes virtual/augmented reality technologies
- Converts operational requirements into system requirements
- Translates system requirements into technical requirements and performance standards
- Possesses experience with software code and debugging
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering and related areas, to include managing teams/projects delivering solutions for missile warning or other national security space mission systems.
- Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
- Experience maintaining national security space mission systems
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 – 20+ years’ related experience. (Multiple roles)
