ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the ownership and development of the Systems Definition for AB Dynamics’ vehicle track testing solutions. The integration of both internally developed and external vendor technologies form a crucial element of this to provide complete track testing solutions for our customers.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products using a systems engineering approach to define how track testing technologies can be efficiently integrated to deliver end-to-end solutions. Engaging with vendors that, for example, supply GNSS inertial navigation and radio infrastructure technology, and collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams (including hardware and software engineering, project management, applications engineering, and quality assurance), will be vital to your success.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading automotive clients worldwide.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Systems Design and Development: Drive the design and development of Integration Technologies from concept to production.
  • Define system architecture, requirements, and specifications based on customer needs and industry standards.
  • Analyse customer and market needs to align product development with the changing automotive industry testing landscape.
  • Safety and Reliability: Implement safety mechanisms and redundancy strategies to enhance the robustness and reliability of our Integration Technologies.
  • Requirements Definition: Work closely with stakeholders to define and document system requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of functionality, performance, and safety criteria.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with the Project Management team to plan, prioritise, manage resource allocation, and oversee project activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budget constraints.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Lead the integration of various components, ensuring compatibility and seamless communication between subsystems and components.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive technical documentation for system requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
