Description
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an experienced System Engineer to support system architecture design, requirements development, and complex system integration efforts. This role is located in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the systems engineering process, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, Army aviation acquisition processes, and risk management practices across the product life cycle. Key Responsibilities: Execute requirements development and system verification processes. Develop and maintain architecture products in accordance with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), including: Project Views, Capability Views, Operational Views, System/Service Views, Standard Views, and Data/Information Views. Identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies and recommendations across system design phases. Collaborate across multiple organizations to define future capability requirements and interoperability needs. Conduct system-level and architectural trade studies. Participate in design/milestone reviews and contribute to architecture models. Produce and maintain inputs for the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Support testing efforts such as hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and contribute to cybersecurity and electrical engineering tasks. Identify technical issues and risks independently while ensuring solutions are proposed during all phases of the program lifecycle. Develop briefings and technical presentations for leadership and stakeholders. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience Comprehensive experience in Army aviation acquisition processes (hardware and software experience preferred). Strong knowledge of MBSE methodologies, system architecture, and systems integration. Proven ability to work independently in dynamic environments and identify technical issues/risks proactively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. US citizenship and a secret level security clearance is required. Desired qualifications Experience with: · Software development/integration. · Missile launchers/dispensers. · Army Aviation systems. · Unmanned Aircraft Command and Control (C2). · Middle Tier Acquisition (MTA) processes. · Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) methodologies. · Tools such as JIRA, SPDS, or similar.
