What is the role We are currently on the hunt for an experienced Systems Engineer with background working for an IT Systems Integrator or Managed Service Provider. Working from our Newcastle office, full-time (38 hours) Monday to Friday, the role will be responsible in providing technical solutions for our clients, including problem resolution, product installation, configuration, testing and product/service recommendations. With our front-line team taking care of triaging, you will service clients suited to your professional skillset, ensuring a positive experience for both you and the client. Key responsibilities of the role include: Provide remote and onsite IT support Diagnose and resolve hardware/network issues Maintain system performance, reliability, and security Collaborate with clients on technical needs Recommend technologies and assist in selection Create design and technical documentation Support junior staff and escalate issues Monitor logs and respond to incidents Liaise with vendors as needed Improve and automate procedures Expand technical skills through training Log activities accurately Participate in on-call support Perform other related tasks Who we are looking for This is a customer facing role who will need to have excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as being highly technical. The role requires a large amount of autonomy, so a candidate who has good time management and organisational skills will be heavily favoured.
