Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Supporting the HCF Obsolescence Working Group, a devolved team of Mission System, Support System and Customer stakeholders, reporting to the Integrated Platform Steering Group (IPSG).
  • Managing an obsolescence database and process instruction to record and action obsolescence notifications.
  • Interfaces with a variety of Internal and External stakeholders including suppliers, transvers, platform and combat engineers and the customer.
  • Supporting the reviews of the supplier obsolescence reports and delivering obsolescence resolution proposal reports for the Customer.
  • Support the transition into service to ensure that the obsolescence status is understood and handed to the in-service support team at the point of design and manufacture completion.
  • Building an extensive knowledge of Mission Systems and Support Systems.
  • Maintaining the HCF Obsolescence Management Plan, to ensure Customer requirements are achieved and flowed-down to Suppliers.
