JOB SUMMARY
The System Engineer supports both operations and maintenance, the HLC/PLC Technicians perform scheduled maintenance tasks and repairs, respond to emergency calls, and assist in analysis of performance metrics to ensure optimal system performance in accordance with System Availability and KPI parameters.
Rate of Pay: Starting at $90k
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule for a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Background check and drug screen required
- Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge
- Electrical training and experience in an industrial environment or minimum 1 year experience as maintenance mechanic
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology in a related field (preferred) or associate degree from a 4-year college or equivalent technical school
- 3+ years of controls engineering design/programming experience required
- Functional knowledge in various PLC ladder logic and HMI programming systems
- Prior experience in the conveyor, material handling or related industries preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Employees work in the assured management areas of baggage, at repair stations, in and around jetbridges, or at airfields and often must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules.
- Employees will be working with and exposed to the baggage handling system, jetbridge, mechanical parts, and vibration.
- Employees may be exposed to various noise levels due to aircraft engines and equipment.
- Employees bend, lean, and frequently reach ladders and scaffolding.
- Employees are required to regularly speak and hear.
- Employees are often required to reach with their hands and arms.
- Employees may be required to perform a variety of activities that could include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing throughout their day.
- Employees frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with the help of teammates.
- Employees will lift parts and tools for long periods of time and handle equipment such as transportation systems.
