About Role The Systems Engineer provides 24/7 technical support for mobile devices and associated applications used by cabin crew. This role ensures operational continuity by troubleshooting device issues, managing configurations, and coordinating with backend teams to resolve incidents promptly. The position operates on a shift roster to maintain uninterrupted support. Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide first-line and second-line support for mobile devices used by cabin crew during operational duties, including pre-flight briefings and onboard activities. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, escalating to backend teams when necessary. Ensure devices meet operational standards (battery health, physical condition, connectivity). Incident Management Respond to critical incidents impacting crew operations, ensuring timely resolution to minimize flight disruptions. Document and track issues in line with SLA guidelines and internal compliance policies. Collaboration & Coordination Liaise with IT support teams and operational stakeholders for complex problem resolution. Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and maintain updated technical documentation. Device Configuration & Maintenance Perform routine checks, updates, and configuration of mobile devices. Support onboarding of new device models and application updates. Operational Readiness Ensure availability of spare devices and accessories at QROC for immediate replacement. Experience: Minimum 5 years in IT support or systems engineering, preferably in airline or hospitality operations. Experience working in a roster or shift-based environment. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of iOS/MDM systems and enterprise mobility solutions. Familiarity with troubleshooting APIs, network connectivity, and device management tools. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills for crew-facing interactions. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment. Professional conduct with a proactive approach to responsibilities. Key Competencies: Problem-solving and analytical thinking. Proactive approach to incident prevention and resolution.
