Description

Unity Connected Solutions is a full-service communications provider specializing in the design, implementation, optimization, and management of voice, video, and data technologies. We aim to enhance business productivity, efficiency, and communication quality. At Unity Connected Solutions, we collaborate closely with our clients to address their most critical communication challenges, partnering with them to deliver tailored solutions that meet their specific business needs. Our company is “Driven by Customers, Powered by Trust.”
As part of our continued growth we are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Systems Solutions Engineer to provide the technical design and pre-sales support for integrated wired and wireless solutions across access control, nurse call, surveillance, Unified Communications, and Contact Centre platforms.
This role is ideal for a technically strong, organized individual who enjoys designing Information Communications and Technology (ICT) solutions and providing technical sales support across all verticals, including senior living and healthcare.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in nurse call, surveillance, access control, telephony, network infrastructure, low-voltage cabling, and strong documentation, coordination, and customer-facing skills. While this is not a hands-on installation role, a deep understanding of system implementation is essential to ensure scalable, practical solutions and maintain a strong feedback loop between design and delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar technical or solutions engineering role.
  • Experience with nurse call systems, including licensing, hardware limitations, and integrations.
  • Solid understanding of access control, telephony, NVR systems, and low-voltage cabling.
  • Familiarity with Layer-2/3 networking, PoE budgeting, and remote server access.
  • Strong documentation and project management skills.
  • Comfortable explaining technical aspects to non-technical clients, particularly in senior living and healthcare settings.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Adaptive problem-solver, particularly under time constraints during live system integrations.
  • Demonstrates both character and competence — acts with integrity, takes ownership, delivers high-quality work, and approaches tasks with urgency
  • Consistently models professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct
