KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Create business models, logical specifications and/or user requirements to develop solutions for the application environment.
· Create and update data models based on the business requirements using ER/Studio.
· Create a data dictionary and metadata repository to ensure consistency and traceability.
· Create DDL scripts from ER model for deployments.
· Design software applications, create system procedures and ensure that the developed applications function normally.
· Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for transactional and analytical systems.
· Design and perform the impact analysis for all the changes made in Data warehouse and track the changes in ER/Studio.
· Design user access provisioning and de-provisioning across Data Warehouse schemas, ensuring least-privilege principle and compliance.
· Develop and create business models, logical specifications and/or user requirement solutions for the application environment.
· Develop complex SQL queries to satisfy business needs and validate data.
· Support data migration and integration activities by mapping source to target data models.
· Conduct code reviews for DDL scripts created by developers to ensure alignment with modeling standards.
· Implement and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
· Implement version control and release management for Data Model changes.
· Reviewed and updated VPD policies to ensure secure row-level access control and compliance with organizational security standards.
· Coordinated with DBAs and security teams to troubleshoot and resolve VPD-related access issues across multiple environments.
· Participate in scrum meetings and coordinate with Business Analysts to understand the business needs and implement the same into a functional design.
· Participate in quarterly audits on user access to Data warehouse on all the environments, identifying misalignments and taking corrective action.
· Update the data model deliverables in scrum meetings.
· Collaborated with data architects, ETL developers, and business analysts to ensure proper data flow and model alignment.
· Write source code, prepare test data, tests and debug programs; revise and refine programs to improve performance of the application software.
· Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical requirements for database design and data models.
· Reverse engineered existing database tables and schemas to obtain the metadata for modelling.
· Identify unused tables and suggest clean-up strategies.
· Perform execution of functional test plan, validate test results, prepare documentation & data for analysis.
· Perform Ensuring that all user access changes are documented and aligned with data governance and audit requirements.
· Conduct ETL reviews created by developers before deployment to verify all the connections, transformations, and ensure compliance with development standards.
· Collaborated with DBAs for physical implementation and tuning of data structures.
