Job Description
We are looking for Systems Engineering Analysts to join our System-of-Systems (SoS) Systems Engineering (SE) Team. You will play a vital role in the LC5ISR (Land Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) program for the Canadian Armed Forces.
This highly integrated tactical system includes communication systems (radios and telephony), networking platforms, intelligence and surveillance integration, battle management tools, and information management systems. As a Systems Engineering Analyst, you’ll contribute to defining the architecture and overall design of this advanced “System-of-Systems”.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Department of National Defence (DND) to define operational requirements and desired capabilities.
  • Develop activity, sequence, use case, and block definition diagrams to describe mission scenarios and use cases.
  • Develop system requirements, interface specifications, and end-to-end information flows.
  • Collaborate with the Department of National Defence (DND) to define operational requirements and desired capabilities.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to build operational and system views in accordance with DNDAF/DoDAF.
  • Support testing activities including verification and validation of requirements, writing test cases, and producing Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
  • Present updates and lead technical reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assume responsibility for deliverables, work products and ensure you are meeting program commitments and achieving program milestones.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant system engineering or related experience.
  • Experience working with system requirements and engineering diagrams (block, sequence, and behavioral).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work consistently.

Assets:

  • Experience with System-of-Systems design or complex systems.
  • Familiarity with requirements decomposition and traceability.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS/ERM preferred).
  • Experience using project tools like (RTC/EWM preferred).
  • Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools Enterprise Architect preferred).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, PI Planning, Story Points).
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering standards and best practices (such as INCOSE).
  • Experience working with or supporting government customers.
