Description
Position Summary:  The Systems Engineering Intern will assist with defining and analyzing system requirements in collaboration with cross-functional groups in a dynamic medical product development environment. Additional tasks include identifying and documenting system hazards, failure modes and risk mitigations as well as assisting with system verification and validation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine system requirements, ensuring they are clear, complete, and aligned with the intended product functionality. * Contributeto the creation of verification and validation plans that outline the testing strategies and methodologies for confirming system performance and compliance. * Apply risk assessment techniques toidentifyand prioritize risks and develop mitigation strategies. * Define test casesand acceptance criteria forsystemlevelverification of complex medical devices. * Generate andmaintaintechnical documentationand traceability matrices. Qualifications: Required education and experience: * Recentundergraduate or graduatestudentenrolled in an accredited university. * Fieldof study inBiomedical, Computer, or Software Engineeringor other similar technical related fields.  * Self-starter who can structure and prioritize their work with limited direction in a lean organization.  * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Previousexperience/interest in medical devicedevelopment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Solid understanding of engineering principles and their application in medical device product development. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate complex technical challenges. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
