Description
What is JetZero? Today’s aircraft contribute around 4% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall. JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel. The JetZero team We are experienced aerospace professionals and engineers, excited about the future. That future will only be possible if we share our vision and what it means to people’s lives: carbon-free flight that' is better for both passengers and airlines around the world. What You’ll Do: Design and document aircraft systems installation layouts (electrical, hydraulic, fuel, ECS, etc.) using advanced CAD tools. Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FARs, ARPs, MIL-STDs). Collaborate with engineers to optimize routing and integration within BWB geometries. Resolve installation conflicts, ensuring maintainability, accessibility, and safety of components. Support design reviews, configuration control, and change management. Create 3D models, installation drawings, and interface control documents (ICDs). What You Bring: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in aircraft systems installation design. Proficiency in CAD tools :Siemens NX preferred, CATIA, SolidWorks. Strong understanding of aircraft installation practices and regulatory guidelines. Experience with unconventional aircraft layouts, preferably BWB platforms. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and installation standards. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Familiarity with BWB-specific integration challenges (e.g., internal volume optimization, non-cylindrical fuselage routing). Experience with digital twin environments or model-based systems engineering (MBSE). Knowledge of composite structures and their impact on installations. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Compensation: Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees.
