Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to support the MQ-25 Program located in Berkeley, MO.
The selected candidate will assist in systems of systems integration and verification efforts, serving as a technical resource.
Boeing is advancing the future of unmanned aircraft carrier aviation for the U.S. Navy with the MQ-25. This unmanned aircraft system is designed to enhance the Navy’s capabilities by providing robust refueling support, thereby extending the operational range of the carrier air wing.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level System Engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR work related experience with a Master’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in avionics and/or systems integration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
  • 2+ years in the Aerospace Industry experience
  • Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience with DOORS (Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System)
  • Software development experience
  • Experience with unmanned aerial systems
  • Applicants must have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of systems engineering design concepts and techniques
  • Knowledge of data system design and architectures

EXPERIENCED (LEVEL 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in facilitating and contributing to system of systems integration and verification activities.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of system verification testing within the Hardware in the Loop (HITL) lab environment.
  • Support coordination of interface exchanges between the Air Vehicle and Ground Control Station to identify potential gaps.
  • Collaborate with technical leads, other program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), suppliers, and the U.S. Navy customer as needed.
  • Maintain working-level relationships with customers on the project.
  • Help manage and ensure deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Contribute to defining plans for risk mitigation and identifying opportunities.
  • Compare actual results to baseline plans to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned.
  • Provide technical, business, and integration support for the development and execution of project or team plans.
