OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Systems Integration Engineers to join our proactive and innovative team.
These roles will provide support to ensure the seamless integration of technology solutions in autonomous maritime platforms. These roles are co;-located between the UK and Kuwait where the platforms are located, as such 50% of your working time is expected to be in each location UK and Kuwait. When working in the UK you will be working in a Hybrid manor with time on site around 2 days per week working with on our customer site in Southampton. The work pattern is expected to be a monthly rotation between the 2 locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BEng or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline (Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic, or Communications).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • An awareness of product lifecycle and systems engineering, including:
  • System architecture & design
  • Performance assessment and systems behavior analysis
  • Verification and Validation of requirements, managing VVRM
  • Certification
  • Performance testing, test Cases, test scripts, Capture of test evidence
  • Experience of working on Maritime Mission Systems Equipment, including Navigational, Remote Operations and Situational awareness
  • Practitioner in Determining and Managing Stakeholder Requirements, Life Cycle Tailoring, Verification, Validation and Transition to Operation.
  • Conversant with accreditation standards for bringing into service electronics systems including bespoke and COTS software applications.
  • A good understanding of cross domain and cross boundary requirements and interfaces.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Maritime Systems Integration
  • Systems Integration Experience - Preferably with Electronics Equipment
  • Experience in both hardware and software engineering lifecycles.
  • Knowledge or experience of RADAR
  • Knowledge or experience of Remote Maritime Vehicle Operations
  • Knowledge or experience of Maritime Navigation Systems
  • Knowledge or experience of Maritime Situational Awareness systems.
Responsibilities
  • Be multi skilled and proficient in installing, maintaining and fault finding on an array of technology solutions on to a maritime platform;
  • Provision of Systems Integration Support of a suite of Electronics components including: Situational awareness equipment, RADAR, Video Surveillance and Sensors, Platform IT systems, navigation and remote operations systems.
  • Work in a team located between UK and Kuwait to support maritime vessels and equipment in the field and in company workshops;
  • Work closely with vessel management teams to ensure company assets, 3rd party assets, spares and all other associated equipment are maintained and operable;
  • Work with company engineers in the integration of company equipment, both mechanically and electrically;
  • Be familiar with our operational procedures relating to the performance of their duties;
  • Be familiar with the operation, maintenance, and fault-finding of the assigned system.
  • Be responsible for updating of maintenance records and recording of tasks as part of system integration;
  • Work in a manner that ensures their own and their co-worker’s safety;
  • Be familiar with the applicable sections of the company HSE policy and actively participate in all safety related briefing such as Toolbox Talks related to the assigned system or tasks;
  • To have the responsibility and ensure that all equipment and safety equipment is fit for purpose prior to use;
  • Responsible for maintaining awareness during the performance of their duties, recognizing the effect changes which may have on safe performance;
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all colleagues;
  • Sail on the vessels to test and validate company equipment;
  • Assist with technical support in the operation of payload equipment, acting as the first line of defence for any breakdown or failure of equipment.
