DEPARTMENT SUMMARY

Enrollment Systems supports key areas in the Division of Enrollment by developing and managing CRM solutions, improving digital platforms, employing data analytics to guide decisions throughout the student lifecycle, and maintaining technologies that strengthen service delivery.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Systems Integration Manager creates satisfying or compelling experiences for web and app users, drawing on results from user research, past experience and industry standards. This position requires strong creative, technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business requirements, technical solutions and user needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of related Integrated Systems experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles of computing and/or communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environments.
  • Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware.
  • Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Considerable experience with web development/design including HTML, CSS, Javascript and APIs.
  • Experience creating HTML email templates.
  • Experience using accessibility guidelines and standards in creating effective interfaces Experience with Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD or similar prototyping tools.
  • Experience with user testing tools and methodologies to validate designs and improve user experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Responsibilities
  • Document business requirements and create roadmaps for new apps and systems
  • Create work/task flows for new apps and systems
  • Create prototypes for testing and validation
  • Conduct user interviews and tests to validate the user experience
  • Code web apps using HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create frontend designs
  • Apply accessibility guidelines to meet WCAG compliance standards
  • Analyze metrics and usage statistics to prioritize for improvement and suggest new features
  • Build and maintain email templates that align with brand guidelines and support communication goals
  • Apply design system and style guides for developing new sites and systems
  • Collaborate in meetings with UNT stakeholders to suggest design solutions
  • Act as a UX leader to train additional UNT departments in usability best practices
  • Provide ongoing support for web applications and services
