Description

- Develop and maintain **backend** services using **Java** and frameworks such as **Spring Boot** / Spring MVC. - Build and enhance **frontend** components using **React**, **Angular**, or **Vue.js** (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/Type). - Design, develop, and optimize **ETL jobs** using **Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle)**. - Create and publish reports, dashboards, and metadata models in **Pentaho BA Server**. - Integrate Pentaho jobs with microservices, databases, message queues, and cloud storage. - Participate in solution design, code reviews, and architecture discussions focusing on performance, scalability, and security. - Write unit, integration, and ETL tests; support CI/CD pipelines for application and ETL deployments. - Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes and optimizations. - Document solutions: data lineage, job design, deployment steps, and runbooks. - Mentor junior developers and help establish best practices in both application and ETL development. - Strong proficiency in **Java** (Java 8+) and object-oriented design. - Experience with **Spring Boot**, **Spring Data**, **Spring Security**. - Proven frontend experience with **React** or **Angular** and state management (Redux, NgRx). - Deep experience with **Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle)**: transformations, jobs, parameters, variables, schedules. - Experience with **Pentaho BA Server**: report designer (PRD), metadata, publishing reports/dashboards. - SQL expertise and experience with relational databases (e.g., **PostgreSQL**, **MySQL**, **Oracle**, **SQL Server**). - Familiarity with **NoSQL** systems is a plus (e.g., MongoDB). - Experience integrating with **RESTful APIs** and working with JSON/XML. - Knowledge of message brokers (e.g., **Kafka**, **RabbitMQ**) is beneficial. - Familiarity with version control (**Git**) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). - Basic DevOps/cloud experience: deploying or packaging services to **Docker**, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (**AWS**, **Azure**, **GCP**). - Testing skills: JUnit, Mockito, frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Jasmine), and ETL validation approaches. - Typically **3-7+ years** of software development experience, with at least **2 years** using Pentaho in production. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred). - Demonstrated track record delivering end-to-end solutions (backend, frontend, ETL/reporting). - Clear communicator with ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. - Team player, proactive, and comfortable in cross-functional teams. - Attention to detail for data quality, robustness, and security.
