SEMCON is seeking Systems Integration & Test Engineers at both mid-level and senior levels to support mission-critical programs within the FAA National Airspace System (NAS). These roles focus on systems analysis, interoperability testing, and integration efforts across evolving air traffic infrastructure, including transition support for the FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) network. This position operates primarily in a coordination and liaison capacity, working across engineering teams, stakeholders, and test organizations to support integration and testing activities rather than performing hands-on system development. We are currently looking for experienced candidates to join our team onsite at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. Key Responsibilities Apply systems analysis techniques to support hardware, software, and communications integration Collaborate with users and stakeholders to define system functional and communication requirements Support interoperability testing and system integration into the Operational NAS utilizing the FTI (FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure) National Test Bed (FNTB) Participate in the transition, integration, and testing of FTI and FENS testbeds Support FAA Test Process activities, including: Architectural Review Board (ARB) Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) Common Message Handling Protocol (CMHP) Connectivity Testing Interoperability Testing Supplemental Form Testing Degraded Operations Testing Support testing efforts for both NAS and Non-NAS programs requiring data exchange with the FAA NAS Assist in system validation, troubleshooting, and documentation throughout the integration lifecycle Mid-Level Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3–5 years of experience in systems integration, testing, or related field Familiarity with system interfaces, communications protocols, and test processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Senior Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 16+ years of experience in systems integration, interoperability testing, or complex system environments Deep understanding of system architecture, integration strategies, and test methodologies Proven ability to lead technical efforts and collaborate across teams Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting FAA programs or National Airspace System (NAS) environments Knowledge of FNTB, FTI, or FENS networks Familiarity with CMHP and related communication standards Experience participating in ARB or technical review boards SEMCON offers a competitive salary and complete benefits package which includes health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and life), 401K with a generous employer match, paid time off, and paid holidays.
