Chandlings Prep is seeking a Systems Manager who is experienced, reliable and conscientious. This is a term-time + 3 weeks position starting October 2025, and the hours of work will be 8.00am to 5.00pm. The role would suit someone who will have a sound knowledge of educational management information systems, enjoys working as part of a team but can also be self motivated. The candidate must also be able to present themselves in a positive, professional and welcoming manner.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop and maintain effective data management systems that meet the School’s operational and educational needs to include: ISAMS, SOCS, CPOMS, Atom, Parent Portal, SchoolCloud and the information screens around the site.
  • Maintain tracking and monitoring systems and software to monitor children’s academic progress and attainment.
  • Provide advice to the Head and Senior Leadership Team on the effective use of technology and data for given tasks and projects.
  • Be responsible for overseeing high-quality support, guidance and training for staff.
  • Ensure the school complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with regard to all systems.
  • Provide support in coordinating responses to Freedom of Information requests and requests for personal information under the Data Protection Act.
  • Oversee the production of children’s reports as per the School Calendar.
  • Oversee the booking system for Parents’ Evenings.
  • Support the admissions and marketing teams as required.
  • Update the information held on the school systems, including archiving of files and historical documents and manage the academic year roll-over.
  • Support the input of the school timetable, admission information and process any changes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and network problems and liaise with the Group IT team on any issues regarding the performance of the network
  • Keep abreast of new technological developments in IT and present proposals with recommendations to Senior Leadership Team that would benefit the school.
  • Upload all school policies on the website on an annual basis.
  • Maintain and update the Welcome and Induction Sites online. E-Learning
  • Oversee the setup, deployment and maintenance of the 1:1 devices.
  • Monitor and audit the use of 1:1 devices
  • Work with individual members of staff, departments and pupils to provide induction, training and support in the development of positive and effective use of 1:1 devices.
  • Establish common standards of practice related to the use of 1:1 devices.

    Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
