We’re a team of imaginative and passionate people who believe in the power of sport to make a difference. If you’re ready to help us serve up real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re committed to reflecting the communities we work and play in. We strongly encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQI+ individuals, people with disability, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
About the role
Tennis Australia is seeking a highly skilled Systems Manager – Event Platforms to take technical ownership of our core event delivery platforms. It is an opportunity to help power world-class events like the Australian Open and the broader Summer of Tennis program through resilient, scalable, and innovative technology solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, operability, and lifecycle management of systems critical to event operations. You’ll work closely with the Event Technology Manager, internal technology and architecture teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless planning, delivery, and performance across both business-as-usual (BAU) and high-impact event periods.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Act as the technical owner for key event platforms, aligning their lifecycle and performance with Tennis Australia’s Technology Master Plan.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee integrations with identity services (Active Directory, Entra SSO) and Microsoft 365 capabilities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate temporary and event-specific systems into broader operational planning.
  • Ensure deployments meet cybersecurity and operational standards.
  • Engage with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure systems enable innovation while maintaining reliability.
  • Balance technical decision-making with business needs and vendor capabilities.
  • Support continuous improvement and operational excellence across all systems.

About you
You’re someone who sees challenges as opportunities and brings a calm, solutions-focused approach—especially when the pressure is on. With a solid background in managing complex systems and infrastructure, you’re comfortable owning platform performance from planning through to live operations.
You’re collaborative by nature and build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams. You can balance short-term operational demands with long-term strategic goals, and you’re always looking for ways to improve how things are done.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Experienced in overseeing critical business platforms, with a deep understanding of how systems integrate and support operational outcomes.
  • Possess knowledge of APIs, identity and access management, cloud platforms, and system dependencies at a strategic level.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into platform requirements and coordinate implementation with internal teams and vendors.
  • Skilled in vendor and contract management, change planning, and ensuring platform reliability in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalable and user-friendly system design.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia

What’s to love?
