POSITION SUMMARY

The System Performance Engineer I is instrumental in ensuring that our sterilization monitoring and control solutions are successfully tested, conf igured, commissioned, and maintained through the entire product lifecycle. The Engineer aides in ensuring that all new products and product updates are verif ied to our quality standards, successfully deployed, and validated at Customer facilities, and that knowledge is transferred prior to operation and supported/maintained as per Customer service level agreements. The Engineer works closely with the Applications and Controls development team, Mechanical/Electrical teams, and Customers to achieve these objectives.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

Operational Excellence (30%)
1. Communicates and collaborates with design teams members.
2. Adheres to all Quality Standard practices.
3. Utilizes Quality management tools.
4. Contributes in a team ef fort by performing in accordance with all STERIS policies, GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher-level management and performs other duties as assigned.
Delivering Results (55%)
1. Determines system requirements, applies workf lows, and performs system conf igurations.
2. Reads and interprets system functional specif ications.
3. Assists in the system testing on medical device sterilization control systems .
4. Assists in validation and commissioning activities carried out in the of f ice or at Customer sites.
5. Assists with technical reports, diagnostic reports, validation reports, etc. under direct supervision.
Customer Relationships (15%)
1. Provides level 2 support to Customers in troubleshooting system issues. Contributes to Customer
projects with full supervision. Assists in technical training to Customers.
