At Beacon Recycling, we need a Systems Project Manager who can take ownership of complex IT initiatives across our multi-site operations, both solo and through coordination with our outsourced IT service. You’ll lead projects that include ERP and HRIS implementations, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, security systems, and more. From scoping and vendor coordination to testing, training, and launch, you’ll manage the full lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business needs.
This role is perfect for someone with 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or IT systems support who wants to apply that skill in a role where structure and follow-through matter. You’ll work closely with teams across Finance, HR, and Operations to roll out scalable technology solutions, and you’ll have the autonomy to lead without micromanagement. Certifications such as PMP are valued, but your ability to lead quietly and deliver reliably matters more than a credential.
Beacon Recycling is a family-owned company headquartered in Muskegon, Michigan, with additional facilities in Grand Rapids and Traverse City. In 2023, we completed a $17.5 million expansion to add a state-of-the-art metal shredder and prepare our operations for long-term growth. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in systems or IT-related projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS), cloud migrations, security systems, cameras or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Visio, Office).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PMP Certification.
• Experience with system integration, data migration, or ITIL processes.
• Familiarity with change management principles.
• Background in software development or systems engineering is a plus.
