We are looking to appoint a Systems Project Officer - Finance who is a conscientious individual, confident, enthusiastic and motivated in their approach to work. This role will bring you to the heart of our organisation working within our expanding Technical & Reporting team. If you like a role that offers variety and each working day to be different, this is the job for you. We are a small unitary authority which means we can make things happen quickly and there is always something new and interesting happening.
You will need to be able to have excellent analytical skills, effective communication abilities, be able to identify opportunities where potential solutions can add value to the organisation and project manage. This role can accommodate office based or hybrid working, depending on your preference.

SKILLS

Essential:

• The ability to provide leadership and constructive support to colleagues working on departmental projects.
• Able to undertake a diverse project-based workload and produce desired outcomes within deadlines.
• The ability to work with a variety of customers and forge effective working relationships.

KNOWLEDGE

Essential:

• Knowledge of the production of project management.
• Knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools to make informed project decisions.
• Understanding of change management principles and practices.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

• Experience of using PRINCE2 project methodology or equivalent to delivery of successful projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration.
• Up to date experience of working with IT based systems and PC based software.
