The QCM assures and maintains quality and oversight of the SQF and ISO 9001 programs, establishing and enforcing quality standards, contributes to site objectives and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee quality inspection activities to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage projects related to quality control, including coordinating resources, setting timelines, and monitoring progress.
- Develop and maintain quality systems documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance. - Provide training and support to employees on quality control processes and procedures.
-Develop, implement, maintain , verify and validate the SQF program
-Evaluate activities related to the SQF program
-Review Corrective & Preventative Actions; manage these appropriately
-Qualify samples at production start up
-Manage customer issues in collaboration with other team members
-Inform stake holds of any non-conformities to the SQF program rules
-Quality lab management
-Monitor supplier performance
-Ensure product safety, and compliance with Federal, State and Local laws
- Experience with plastics and and food required.
Our client is searching for a candidate with the following qualifications:
-Prior experience developing, implementing and maintaining food safety programs
-Written, implementation and maintenance experience within the HACCP plans
-Strong ability to analyze and make decisions
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food industry.
- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- ISO9001, ISO22000, BRC, SQF, HACCP experience
