JOB DESCRIPTION
At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.
The Boeing Test & Evaluation Team (BT&E) is looking for an experienced System Safety Engineer who will be responsible for performing safety hazard analyses using various risk analysis tools. This will include safety risk management assessments of complex system designs throughout the life cycle of a product and program. Focus will be on product and service safety in highly complex and dynamic lab test environments including structures, electromagnetic, wind tunnels etc. This position supports senior leadership and individual contributors to help them understand and apply their daily responsibilities within Boeing’s Safety Management System (SMS). Also required is the ability to work collaboratively across a broad section of program and test capabilities to develop and provide product and service safety requirements in the design process and throughout the lifecycle of a program.
The System Safety Engineer will routinely work with BT&E Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to assist in ensuring effectiveness of site safety plans, support incident notification processes, and investigate near miss and injury occurrences. They will also actively support managers and workers on safety risk management and other SMS activities including avid promotion of Boeing’s safety reporting programs such as Speak-Up and Enablon. The selected candid will lead Safety Action Groups (SAGs), promote a positive safety culture, and actively apply elements associated with all four SMS pillars.
