We are seeking a technically capable and dependable team member with sound knowledge of information systems and a strong commitment to supporting reliable, secure, and efficient IT services. The ideal candidate will have experience providing first-level support for enterprise applications, assisting with system administration tasks, and contributing to the maintenance of networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity tools. You will be detail-oriented, responsive to user needs, and able to work collaboratively to deliver practical IT solutions across Council

Responsibilities
  • Support the Information Services Manager in delivering Council’s Information Services strategy and digital transformation initiatives, including integration with Technology One systems.
  • Assist with the implementation, administration, and maintenance of enterprise applications and platforms such as GIS, Microsoft 365, VEEAM, Abnormal Security, and Azure.
  • Ensure the availability, security, and reliability of Council’s information systems and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Records staff to support compliant information and records management, including data storage, retrieval, retention, disposal, and e-waste practices.
  • Coordinate responses to system access and data requests in line with Council policies and privacy obligations.
  • Contribute to the development and review of information security policies, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity objectives.
  • Manage Council’s cybersecurity tools and support incident response activities.
  • Provide assistance to the Information Systems Engineer on server, network, and system-level tasks.
  • Support the planning and delivery of system upgrades, infrastructure projects, and digital service improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant local government legislation and ensure compliance across information services.
  • Assist in managing IT vendor relationships and monitoring service provider performance against agreements.
  • Contribute to building digital capability across Council through end-user support, training, and documentation.
