Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Systems Test Technician - Hardware is responsible for ensuring the sustainment of production, quality and reliability of Linx products. The responsibilities include design, build, test and validate electromechanical components & systems and will be located in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom
THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:
- An Engineering based education or at least 4 years’ experience working in relevant product development industry
- Experience with assembling and testing electromechanical systems
- Experience with machining tools such as pillar drill, lathe and milling machine
- Familiar with basic electronics including soldering, and using digital multimeter and oscilloscope
- Familiar with working safely and orderly in an engineering environment with high voltages, pressures and flammable liquids.
- Experience with CIJ, CAD, 3D printing, and/or software scripting a distinct advantage

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside cross-functional R&D and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, develop and verify solutions to improve Linx products and system reliability
- Perform thorough testing and validation of electromechanical system and components, ensuring that safety remains the utmost priority
- Assist in the development of test plans, procedures and setups according to specifications
- Specify, design and build test rigs / jigs
- Maintain accurate records of test results, analyze test data and create comprehensive test reports, as well as the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment / tools such as PAT testing
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvements in testing and verification processes
