SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - INTERMEDIATE
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate for a 12-month contract. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - INTERMEDIATE - JOB DESCRIPTION
The project involves comprehensive testing efforts for large systems, ensuring seamless integration and system reliability. The role includes working on both GUI and non-GUI environments, supporting end-to-end testing, and validating system security. The QA Specialist will collaborate with project teams to support the development and ongoing maintenance of required systems.
SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - INTERMEDIATE - MANDATORY SKILLS
- Solid understanding of the end-to-end application development lifecycle
- Proficiency with manual and automated testing tools in a service-oriented architecture
- Hands-on experience with SQL and database testing (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of unit testing coverage
- Experience with structured methodologies for application development
- Expertise in executing functional, non-functional, and system-level integration tests
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - INTERMEDIATE – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Experience with information retrieval packages
- Knowledge of testing methods in object-oriented environments
- Understanding of Information Management principles
- Expertise in coding automated test scripts
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test cases across various system components
- Plan and organize systems integration testing and specialized testing such as performance, load, and stress testing
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and conduct security testing
- Collaborate with testing leads, IT leads, and project team members
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and support required systems
