SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR

On behalf of our government client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves overseeing and managing quality assurance processes for both manual and automated testing efforts as part of the initiatives related to Bill 5. The project focuses on ensuring high-quality software product delivery through the development and implementation of testing strategies.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 10+ years of experience in process, planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts
• Experience with creating, reviewing, and executing test strategy, test plans, and test cases
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Katalon
• Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code for test automation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills
• Experience in leading QA teams and developing test strategies

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or PyTest
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured
• Experience with AODA Compliance Audit tools, AXE, WAVE
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner

• Collaborate with product managers, product owners, and technical teams to develop test strategies and test plans
• Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems, including systems integration tests and user acceptance testing
• Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test cases
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing
• Use automation tools like Selenium, Appium, and Katalon to create robust and reusable test scripts
• Communicate test results regularly through reports that summarize test completion and defects found
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the agile/iterative solution development lifecycle
