SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR:

On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior for an approximate 7-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves contributing to the testing activities for the delivery and product management life cycle of the CDT project. The role includes leading the development of test strategies and managing test activities to ensure the quality of the project deliverables.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 8+ years of QA experience, including leading QA teams
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Microsoft DevOps
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience coordinating test activities with project managers and teams
• Experience with defect tracking tools
• Knowledge of structured methodologies for application development

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience with automated test tools
• Experience in planning and organizing testing efforts
• Experience supporting UAT and participating in UAT activities
• Knowledge of QA principles and structured methodologies
• Experience with unit, data, integration, load, and performance testing

• Lead and contribute to the development of test strategies, test cases, and scripts
• Manage and schedule all test activities, including DevOps maintenance and stress/load testing
• Reconcile, manage, and track system or functional defects during various testing phases
• Supervise and participate in executing manual test cases and reporting results
• Develop and maintain functional, system, and UAT test cases and other artifacts
• Oversee the documentation of software defects and communicate defect issues to the project team
• Support UAT and lead initial UAT sessions, providing guidance to business users
