SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR:

On behalf of our Public Sector client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves working with the Government Services Integration Cluster on quality assurance within large-scale IT environments. The project will focus on enhancing and ensuring the quality of enterprise-level systems through comprehensive testing strategies and methodologies.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 10+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise-level IT environments
• Experience with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks
• Proficiency in test automation tools like Selenium or Postman for API testing
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of databases such as SQL and Oracle
• Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies
• Extensive experience with AODA testing and compliance

SYSTEMS TESTING/QA SPECIALIST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration tools like Jenkins or Git
• Experience coding automated test scripts
• Public sector experience

• Provide advice on testing strategy, test plans, and selection of testing tools
• Organize and execute testing efforts for large systems, including GUI and non-GUI environments
• Develop test plans, scripts, and cases, and execute them against various components
• Collaborate with project team members in analysis, design, development, and implementation
• Support and participate in user acceptance testing activities
