SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - SENIOR:

On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist - Senior for a 6.5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of systems through rigorous manual and automated testing processes. The project focuses on accessibility compliance and system integration testing in a hybrid work environment.

SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 5+ years of experience in test automation for web, mobile, and API testing
• Ability to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies
• Experience with manual testing (75%) and automation testing (25%)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

SYSTEMS TESTING/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Prior OPS or public sector experience
• Experience in at least one programming language
• Knowledge of AODA and related regulations
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps

• Provide advice on testing strategy, test plans, and selection of testing tools
• Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems, including GUI and non-GUI environments
• Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and cases against system components
• Collaborate with testing lead, IT lead, and project team members on system support
