Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and frameworks aligned with the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Essential Eight and Defence security guidelines.
  • Implement and monitor security measures for IT networks, systems, and applications.
  • Respond to and manage cyber incidents, conducting forensic analysis where necessary.
  • Assist in the secure development and deployment of Defence IT systems.
  • Configure and maintain security tools, such as firewalls, SIEMs, and endpoint protection solutions
