Role Summary The Senior Travel & Expense (T&E) Analyst oversee and optimize global Travel & Expense (T&E) operations to ensure policy compliance, process efficiency, cost control, and strong vendor performance. Partners with Finance, Procurement, HR, and travel providers to improve the employee travel experience while maintaining financial discipline through analytics, controls, and automation. Key responsibilities T&E Program Management & Policy Compliance Administer and enforce global T&E policies in alignment with corporate standards and regional / regulatory requirements. Manage end-to-end expense reporting and approval workflows in Concur, SAP, and related T&E platforms. Audit expense reports to validate policy compliance, accuracy, and completeness of supporting documentation. Handle escalations and inquiries related to travel bookings, reimbursements, exceptions, and policy violations; drive timely resolution and root-cause fixes. Ensure audit readiness by maintaining strong controls, documentation standards, and compliance monitoring. Employee Support & Training Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding travel bookings, expense submissions, reimbursements, corporate card usage, and related topics. Develop and deliver policy communication and training to improve adoption, reduce exceptions, and strengthen compliance. Vendor, Card Program & Stakeholder Management Manage relationships with travel agencies, corporate card providers (e.g., American Express), and expense management vendors. Monitor vendor performance against SLAs; escalate issues and lead remediation plans as needed. Support integration, configuration, and optimization of travel booking tools and corporate card programs to improve user experience and compliance. Financial Operations, Controls & Analytics Analyze T&E spending and behavior trends to identify leakage, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities. Build and present dashboards and management reporting to provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders. Partner with Finance to ensure accurate expense allocation, reconciliations, and month-end close support related to T&E activity. Implement and track budget adherence initiatives and measures to reduce unnecessary or non-compliant spending. Process Improvement, Automation & Risk Management Drive process optimization and automation initiatives (including AI-enabled analytics where applicable) to reduce manual effort and improve cycle times. Conduct periodic compliance reviews and targeted audits to detect fraud, misuse, duplicate claims, or other non-compliance risks. Maintain strong governance over payment solutions and expense reconciliation systems. Terminations / Offboarding Due Diligence Perform T&E and corporate card due diligence for terminated employees to ensure proper close-out, including: Timely cancellation of corporate cards. Follow-up on open items in corporate card Statements of Account (SOA) and/or Concur. Recovery of unused credits and credit balances from AMEX. Coordination with HR/Finance/IT as needed to close outstanding obligations and prevent financial leakage. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 4+ years of experience in T&E management, finance operations, or travel procurement. Core skills Advanced working knowledge of Concur, SAP, AppZen, and corporate travel programs. Financial analysis, reporting, and expense reconciliation expertise. Vendor and stakeholder management (travel agency, corporate card, expense platforms); SLA management. Strong compliance mindset with experience in audit readiness, policy enforcement, and controls. Process improvement capability, including automation and AI-driven analytics in expense management. Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
