Subjects Immanuel Christian Secondary School is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic professional educators to join their team as a High School Humanities teacher! The successful candidate be responsible to teach English Language Arts and Social Studies for students in grades 9 to 12. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting students in learning, be enthusiastic, flexible, and an energetic team player who has the following attributes: A background in Humanities is preferred; Proven competency in teaching the craft of writing and reading; Strong instructional understanding of foundational literacy (reading and writing); An understanding of and experience in Christian Education; The ability to integrate the school's Christian mission and vision within the subject materials; Commitment to fostering collaborative working relationships; Commitment to ongoing professional development and professionalism. Applicants must posses or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate. Applicants are required to submit a philosophy of Christian Education as part of their application. If one cannot be provided, a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire. Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
