Job Title: Table Service Assistant Supervisors: General Manager-AGM, Managers Position Overview: The Bungalow Service Assistant is responsible for overseeing table maintenance and assisting the servers in maintaining impeccable standards of service to our guests. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, assist in the overall upkeep of the venue, maintain quick footspeed, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service. The Company: Conjured from the rich imagination of hospitality visionary Brent Bolthouse, The Bungalow radiates the relaxed charm of another era and marks The Bungalow brand's third location in Southern California. We are a cocktail lounge/bar with a 70’s California house party theme. We play beachy, mellow feel-good music in the 70’s & 80’s genre. We have a DJ Thursday-Sunday, and are open 5 days a week with last call at 1:30AM, closing at 2AM. We pride ourselves on being a destination full of amazing specialty cocktails, entertainment, and a welcoming team! As a service assistant, your top priority is to support our servers and ensure that we take great care of our guests. Essential Duties: Be prepared to work weekends, late nights, and holidays Complete all daily and weekly side work cleaning duties Assist in all setup and breakdown of the venue Ensure that your work area is clean and organized at the start of the shift Maintain the cleanliness of the venue, both front of house and back of house areas, at all times Approach and interact with guests with a smile and friendly demeanor. Respond to all guest questions. Provide assistance, direction, and information as requested when working in public areas Be available on radio/walkie-talkies at all times ready to take a request from colleagues immediately Assist servers in preparing and delivering bottle service orders to tables Constantly carry a bus bin through the venue prepared to collect used glassware, plates, and debris from tables Abide by all state, federal, and corporate liquor and food regulations pertaining to serving and handling food and alcohol (LEAD, TIPs, RBS, and Food Handlers) Attend all required meetings and daily pre-shifts Have a positive influence on the team by constantly maintaining a positive and gossip-free work environment Maintain a level of energy to respond urgently to staff, guest, and venue requests Be willing to go the extra mile and take pride in the work you do. Some experience in a nightlife setting is a plus Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal in the English language Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes am, pm, weekends and holidays Must have the utmost professional standards Maintain proper grooming standards, appearance, and friendly demeanor Ability to handle multiple guest requests and work in a fast-paced environment Must be 21 years or older Must be able to lift 45 pounds Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of a 6 - 8 hour shift Each of the items listed is considered an essential function of the position.
