Overview Turn complex data into policies that improve employment outcomes for America’s veterans. As a Tableau System Administrator and Statistics SME, you’ll analyze program performance, shape policy decisions, and deliver insights that strengthen veterans’ employment and training programs nationwide. On this team you will develop and monitor Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) program's performance outputs and policy support services; to include updating current policies, initiating new policies to support national, state, and local veterans’ offices, or examining federal policies affecting execution of veterans’ programs and changing policies to include latest Congressional and Executive Order decisions. As a Tableau System Administrator/Statistics SME you will be a part of a team that is responsible for evaluating and analyzing program performance data, research and development of program policy and processes, and review and update of policy implementation in regional and field offices. FWI is expanding rapidly and has been recognized as a 2024 Top Workplace by Washington Post, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment. **This is a PART TIME remote position; however, the customer may ask for an occasional office visit.** Work Schedule and Location: Remote: This part-time remote position has working hours from Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM EST Responsibilities Responsible for the full the entire data workflow process Responsible for maintaining the system, building tables, and creating queries to generate outputs Creating and Maintaining Data Visualization Dashboards Providing Subject Matter Expertise on date to the Data Analysts team on a daily basis Converting client requirements to concrete deliverables amongst the team Qualifications The Data Analyst shall have advanced skill in object-oriented programming and data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience as an online database administrator, responsible for maintaining the system, building tables, and creating queries to generate outputs for additional analysis. Experience writing code in programming languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python, DAX, Tableau Prep Builder) to create data visualizations in the form of interactive dashboards, charts, and maps (e.g., Tableau Desktop/Creator, Power BI, Qlik Sense). Mastery of statistical and quantitative analyses methods and tools for the assessment and improvement of employment and training programs (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Minitab). Knowledge of statistical sampling, inferential statistics, hypothesis testing (T test, Z test, ANOVA), and regression analysis. Ability to undergo and successfully pass a minimum background investigation (MBI) or a background investigation (BI) conducted through the U.S. Department of Labor A minimum of six (6) years of experience creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards/maps using Tableau Desktop/Creator, to include preparing and querying the data using workflows in Tableau Prep Builder. A minimum of three (3) years of experience creating and maintaining Microsoft Power BI dashboards, to include preparing and querying data using DAX for advanced calculations and filters. Courses or certification equivalent to 30 semester hours in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field of study directly related to this position. A minimum of three (3) years of experience creating and maintaining complex forms and calculations using Microsoft Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) & Macros. Desired Familiarity with National and statewide workforce agency development systems. Examples include the Workforce Integrated Performance System (WIPS) and the Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL).
