Description

The Tableau Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and analytical reporting solutions using Tableau and related business intelligence technologies. This role partners with BI team members and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data models, optimized queries, and visualization-ready datasets that support operational performance and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Tableau development, data modeling, and SQL, and demonstrates the ability to transform complex, multi-source data into accurate and high-performance dashboards. The Tableau Specialist ensures reliable delivery of reporting solutions through the application of best practices in dashboard architecture, performance optimization, and visualization standards. Essential Responsibilities and Deliverables Function Specific: * Use advanced data visualization tools to provide an easy-to-understand interface for end users to quickly identify key themes within their data * Develop, design and supporting interactive Tableau dashboard reports and templates * Recommend dashboards per Tableau visualization features * Deploy dashboard/reports to Tableau server environment * Validate effectiveness of information delivery through usability testing * Assess existing data visualization systems to evaluate their usability, usefulness, visual design, and content * Integrate multiple data sets to build large and complex data sets * Support the building of data flow channels and processing systems to extract, transform, load, and integrate data from various sources * Work with development team to build tools to accelerate and automate data visualization * Participates in meetings, reviews, and user group discussions as well as communicating with stakeholders and business groups. Critical Working Relationships (List by role function, internal and external critical work relationships) * Business Analysts and Internal Operations Supervisors, Managers and Directors as needed * Other internal department leadership roles as required * External client reporting contact roles as required * Internal Business Intelligence leadership roles Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Education: * Bachelors of any related field or equivalent Experience/Knowledge/Skills: * 2+ years’ experience with data analysis with Tableau platform / products * Experience working in a data warehouse environment with business intelligence applications * Extensive experience working with Business Intelligence data visualization tools with specialization on Tableau * Working knowledge on Tableau is a must and should be familiar with Tableau setup/implementation * Experience in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, Tableau Prep * Optional: Advanced skills in MS Excel including VBA/Power Query * Proficiency in SQL is required * Working knowledge in CRM platforms e.g. SFD * Knowledge or experience in Python Programming is a plus Measures of Performance (Lost the critical measurements key performance indicators. Consider the employees’ output that is integral to the company’s success) * Efficient and Relevant report build solutions and automation * Dashboards Accuracy and Timeliness measured based on report output delivered as defined Personal Attributes * Strong multi-tasking skills * Experience in designing a dashboard to track key financial metrics and performance is an advantage. * Must possess analytical skills and be detailed oriented * Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills
