Description La Posada Hotel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team at the Tack Room. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a variety of steaks and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards - Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served in a timely manner - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations - Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times - Must dish wash dinner ware, glass ware, and kitchen equipment - Assist in inventory management and stock rotation - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations - Adhere to portion control and waste reduction practices Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a steakhouse or similar restaurant setting - Knowledge of grilling, broiling, and other cooking techniques specific to steak preparation - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed - Must have a Food Handlers certification - Must be able to be a team player At the Tack Room, we pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere, commitment to quality, and opportunities for professional growth.
