Description La Posada Hotel is seeking a skilled and personable Lounge Bartender to provide exceptional service and craft beverages for guests in a relaxed, upscale setting. This role involves preparing drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring the lounge maintains a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Where You Can Make an Impact: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Engage with guests to provide recommendations, answer questions, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including specialty cocktails, wine, and beer, to assist guests effectively. Follow recipes and accurately measure ingredients to craft signature and classic cocktails. Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of shortages or restocking needs. Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring proper reconciliation at the end of each shift. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Collaborate with lounge staff to provide seamless service and support team goals. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Stay informed of current beverage trends and suggest ideas for enhancing the lounge menu. Requirements Education/Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent required; bartending certification preferred. Must have TABC permit. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience in a lounge or upscale setting preferred. Knowledge/Skills: Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and craft beer. Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage with guests effectively. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures. Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
