COMPENSATION RANGE: $50 - 58 PER HOUR

We are seeking an innovative Freelance Footwear Designer to join our client’s our team on a project basis, focusing on their industrial/ tactical footwear line. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of their product offerings with a focus on cutting-edge design, functionality, and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a footwear designer, with a portfolio showcasing work in the industrial/professional and tactical footwear space.
• Deep understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on 2-3 new projects from concept to completion, with a strong focus on outdoor and performance-driven footwear.
• Develop concepts, sketches, and detailed technical drawings that align with the project brief and brand vision.
• Collaborate closely with our in-house development team to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet all technical requirements.
• Contribute to the creative process by researching trends, materials, and new technologies in the outdoor footwear market.

ROLE DETAILS:

• Contract: 4-month freelance contract, with the possibility of an extension.
• Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week.
• Location: Hybrid (Irvine, CA) or fully remote (May need to flex to PST hours).
• Start: Moving quickly, hopefully concluding interviews in the next two weeks.
