Primarily supports software for the DCGS-Army Family of Systems: IFS, P-MFWS, GWS, TGS, CDSS to include future replacement systems. HOW THE SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Initialize, place into operation and troubleshoot the software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication systems being supported (ex. IFS /P-MFWS/GWS/TGS/CDSS). Conduct software installations, configurations, patching and maintenance of DCGS-A family of systems. Responsible for backup and disaster recovery of Linux and Windows operating systems. Provide informal training and software mentorship. Provide software, hardware, network troubleshooting, problem identification, and resolution. Assist with remote system administration software to include troubleshooting and installation. Assists Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations. Participates in special projects as required. (4 years of additional work experience may be substituted for an BA/BS. Degree) Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and willing to obtain a CI Poly if required. Valid CompTIA Security+ CE Certification Experience with Microsoft Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintaining. Understanding of networking principles and system network configuration. Some travel is required. The likely salary range for this position is $88,130 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
