About the Role As an Education Preparation Programs TAFE Sessional Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, industry-relevant education and training to students enrolled in the Certificate IV Tertiary Preparation and Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation. You will be expected to develop and deliver engaging and innovative learning materials, assess student performance, and provide feedback and support to ensure student success. Examples of duties you will perform include: Delivering and assessing Certificate IV Tertiary Preparation and Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation competencies Fostering a working environment that is respectful to all students and staff Establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment Supporting students to build skills for transition to higher education courses Contributing to the continuous improvement of the course by being involved with the design, development and validation of its training and assessment resources. Maintaining accurate course and student records according to organisational and regulatory requirements About You We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about education and committed to teaching the next generation of tertiary education and teaching students. You must hold: TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 with upgrade units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 or can provide proof of enrolment in TAE40122 or upgrade or be willing to obtain one; or TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training/TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or TAE50211 Diploma of Training, Design and Development/TAE50216 Diploma of Training, Design and Development or its successor Experience of studying in a Higher Education environment (e.g. bachelor’s degree) Current police check valid within 6 months or willingness to obtain one Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one Salary and Conditions of Employment For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $95.01 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation. Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2025. How to Apply?
