About the Role: As a TAFE Sessional Teacher, you will have the opportunity to share your trade experience with the next generation of students. You will collaborate with other teachers in developing learning resources for our courses, as well as training and assessing students, and maintaining accurate records. This is a sessional teaching position working primarily at our Sunshine Campus. Position Key Duties: Deliver training and assessment Fostering a working environment that is respectful to all students and staff Establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment Contributing to the continuous improvement for the course by being involved with the design, development and validation of its training and assessment resources. Maintaining accurate course and student records according to organisational and regulatory requirements Salary: sessional teaching rate is $98.34 per hour and sessional non-teaching rate is $63.29 per hour Employment Type: Sessional Hours: approximately 16 per week Location: Footscray Nicholson About You: You will need to hold relevant and/or current electrical trade qualifications in the electrical industry – A grade Electrical Licence preferred. A Training and Assessment qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401); and Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502, TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B) Are passionate about sharing your knowledge with the next generation of electricians and electrotechnology workers. Willingness to continually learn and develop as a TAFE Teacher. Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one. The University is a Child Safe organisation.
