Job description Quuppa is hiring a Tag Development Trainee to join the team. This role focuses on providing support for the development of our tag firmware and SDK through hands-on testing, performance evaluation, and technical documentation. Your work will directly contribute to the improvement of tag functionality, usability, and readiness before release. You will work closely with the product team on firmware and embedded systems, tooling and real-world use cases. The ideal candidate is an accountable team player with a proactive, hands-on attitude. You are self-motivated to learn, comfortable working on technical tasks, and not afraid to ask questions when something is unclear. We don’t expect you to be an experienced product engineer – this role is designed for a learning opportunity. It’s a great fit if you are a final-year student or recent graduate who is motivated to grow and gain practical experience in firmware and product development. Your tasks can include but are not limited to the following: Conduct hands-on testing of tag firmware SDK and firmware releases to evaluate functionality and behavior Develop and maintain the firmware test suite, including writing and improving test cases Analyze system behavior and document findings to support product and engineering decisions Create and maintain clear technical documentation for the SDK and test suite Develop and document solution examples and use cases for tag applications Prepare and manage test suite releases Test and evaluate partner tags for compatibility and performance Configure tag delivery batches, including applying custom configurations. Requirements for the applicant Background in or ongoing studies in a technical field (e.g. embedded systems, electronics, computer sciences, or similar) Ability to read and write Python for testing and analysis Ability to read C code to understand firmware behavior Basic understanding of electronics and embedded systems Strong documentation skills in English Analytical mindset with attention to details Proactive, self-motivated and systematic approach to work Good interpersonal skills Fluent English skills The following qualities are considered as advantages Experience with firmware, embedded development, or hardware testing Familiarity with debugging tools, logs, or serial communication Experience with test automation or scripting beyond basic use Why us?
